Honolulu, Hawaiʻi – Several Pearl City community leaders, including Pearl City Neighborhood Board Chair Larry Veray, Representative Gregg Takayama, Representative Roy M. Takumi, and Representative Sam Satoru Kong, are partnering with Elizabeth Vann from Waipahu to sponsor a community clean-up of Sunset Memorial Park, which has fallen into disrepair because the cemetery does not currently have an owner.
About 25-30 military volunteers from Pearl Harbor are also expected to attend, along with seniors from the Friends of Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery and Lions Club members.
