NEW KAUAʻI AND OʻAHU REPRESENTATIVES TO BE SWORN IN ON TUESDAY

Honolulu, Hawaiʻi – Speaker Scott K. Saiki announces that new House Representatives Luke Evslin and Trish La Chica will be sworn in during Tuesday's floor session.


"We appreciate Luke and Trish responding to the call to serve their communities and the state of Hawaiʻi. They bring experience, perspective, and new energy to the House," said Speaker Saiki. "With both of them joining us, the House will now have 18 new members which is the largest class the Legislature has seen in 28 years."


The incoming lawmakers were recently appointed by Governor Josh Green to serve in vacancies in House Districts 16 and 37.

State House of Representatives

WHAT: The incoming lawmakers will begin their official duties upon being sworn in:

· Luke Evslin will serve as the House Representative for District 16 which encompasses Wailuā, Hanamā‘ulu, Kapaia, Līhu‘e, Puhi, portion of ‘Ōma‘o.

· Trish LaChica will serve as the House Representative for District 37 which encompasses Mililani Mauka, Mililani Town, Koa Ridge and Waipi‘o Gentry.

WHERE: Hawaiʻi State Capitol – House Chamber

Entrance is through the rotunda level.
