NASW HAWAIʻI CHAPTER RECOGNIZES REP. CORY M. CHUN AS LEGISLATOR OF THE YEAR

Honolulu, Hawaiʻi – House Representative Cory M. Chun (D-35, Portions of Pearl City and Waipahū, Crestview) was selected by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Hawaiʻi Chapter as the 2023 Legislator of the Year in recognition of his commitment to support social work causes and positions.


Each year, the NASW Hawaiʻi Chapter presents social work awards to convey their acknowledgment and appreciation of honorees efforts and dedication. This year, Rep. Chun and other honorees were recognized at an awards luncheon on October 20 at the Hawaiʻi Behavioral Health and Wellness Convention.


“It is an honor to receive this award from a group of professionals who dedicate their work to helping others,” said Rep. Chun, who is currently serving his first term as a Hawaiʻi House Representative. “I look forward to continuing to work with community members and advocates of social work causes in Hawaiʻi.”
