Honolulu, Hawai‘i — On Friday, July 25, 2025, communities across Hawai‘i will come together to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the historic civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of life, including employment, education, transportation, and access to public and private services, programs, and activities.
"The 1990 ADA law prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities, but we have much work ahead to actually do what the ADA LAW mandated 35 years ago.
