GOOD GOVERNMENT BILLS UP FOR FINAL READING IN THE HOUSE

Honolulu, Hawaiʻi – The House of Representatives will consider ten House bills relating to transparency in government boards, election procedures, and state employment. A final vote is scheduled for Wednesday, April 17, and upon approval, the bills proceed to the governor's desk for his signature.

 

The ten bills include:

 

·         HB 1597 HD1 SD1 – Relating to Open Meetings

·         HB 1598 HD1 SD2 – Relating to the Sunshine Law

·         HB 1599 HD1 SD2 – Relating to the Sunshine Law

·         HB 1600 HD1 SD2 – Relating to Open Meetings

·         HB 1879 HD1 SD1 – Relating to the Digital Voter Information Guide

·         HB 1881 HD1 SD1 – Relating to Administrative Fines

·         HB 2069 HD1 SD1 – Relating to the Department of Accounting and General Services

·         HB 2072 HD1 SD1 – Relating to Campaign Finance

·         HB 2231 HD1 SD1 – Relating to Law Enforcement

 

For measures that have not reached an agreement, the House and Senate have the option to convene in Conference to reconcile discrepancies and craft the final language of the bills.
