Honolulu, Hawaiʻi – The House of Representatives will convene on January 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. as required by the Hawaiʻi Constitution. The convening of the session will mark the second year of the 32nd State Legislature.
"This upcoming session is expected to be marked by bold ideas, forward-thinking policy, and community engagement. We welcome the public to the Capitol for a productive legislative session," said Speaker Scott K. Saiki.
The public is invited to attend the House's Opening Floor Session, however seating will be limited. Access to the House Chamber Gallery will be from the rotunda and will open to the public at 9:45 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.

Parking
Attendees are encouraged to carpool or use public transportation. Suggested alternatives for parking include nearby public lots including the State Department of Health, Kalanimōkū Building Parking Lot, and ʻIolani Palace. Metered parking is available along King St. and Richards St. Additionally, several private lots in the area may also have available parking spots.
Capitol Security Measures
The State Capitol has implemented updated security measures. All visitors entering the Capitol will be required to go through metal detection screening from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. All visitors may enter the State Capitol through three entry points: Two at street level (elevator Cores 1 and 3) which are located at the Diamond Head makai and ʻEwa mauka corners of the State Capitol Rotunda, and through the main basement entrance. All visitors to the Capitol shall go through metal detection screening through these three entry points.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive earlier to allow extra time to go through the security checkpoints.
