REP. TAM AND COLLEAGUES ISSUE STATEMENT REGARDING 303 CREATIVE LLC V. ELENIS

Representative Adrian K. Tam and members of the House of Representatives issued the following statement: "We strongly disagree with the Supreme Court of the United States decision on 303 Creative LLC v. Elenis, which marks a step backward in our society by providing businesses with the potential to discriminate against individuals based solely on their identity. This ruling poses a significant threat to the principles of equality, inclusion, and justice for our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender, Queer, and others (LGBTQ+) community. We are grateful that Hawaiʻi continues to lead the way when it comes to equal protections for LGBTQ+ people."
