Dec. 1 House Informational Briefing has been cancelled


Honolulu, Hawaiʻi – The House of Representatives continues its weekly series of public informational briefings on Dec. 1 as part of an effort to gather and disseminate critical information on government plans and initiatives underway to respond to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

This week the House Economic Development and Business Committee informational briefing will hear an update from the State Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism (DBEDT) on their short- and long-term economic recovery plans in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

DBEDT Director Mike McCartney and department division and program representatives will provide reports to the Committee.

No public testimony will be accepted.

The weekly briefings will continue through the end of the year. Upcoming briefing topics include Hawaiʻi’s Safe Travels and the tourism re-opening plan, early childcare and learning, and an update from the University of Hawaiʻi.
